Shield anchors are a heavy duty expansion fixing where a segmented shield spreads against the sides of the drilled hole as the bolt or stud is tightened. Loose bolt versions allow the fixture to be offered up after the anchor is set; projecting stud versions leave a thread standing proud for a nut.
Used in concrete and solid masonry for structural steel, machinery and heavy brackets. Supplied in a barcoded Allgrip retail prepack.
